Manage accounts payable process, supervise accounting assistants and support the accounting and finance functions to reach more people, build a great organization and increase our impact on the community while demonstrating CPM’s values of integrity, community, innovation and diversity. 

Hourly rate: $22.50

  • Responsible for Accounts Payable process to ensure prompt, accurate and timely payment to vendors while adhering to organization policies and procedures
  • Review accounts payable invoices, check requests and purchase orders for completeness, authorizations and accuracy
  • Determine and prepare applicable use tax journal entry payable to Washington State
  • Data entry of accounts payable documents and issue/document accounts payable checks
  • Match accounts payable checks with supporting documents
  • Manage organization travel, staff credit cards and employee reimbursements via the Concur system including reconciliations, payments, system maintenance and review and documentation of procedures
  • Assist in managing vendor relationships to optimize credit terms
  • Reconcile accounts payable with the general ledger, other accounting tasks and participate in month-end closing process
  • Reconcile accounts with Vendors
  • Participate in reviews of and recommendations for operational procedures and implement changes as approved and required
  • Process Canadian checks
  • Back-up for sorting of incoming mail
  • Back-up for Accounts Receivable
  • Prepare and issue 1099 forms
  • Prepare reports and schedules for annual audit and additional purposes as directed
  • Prepare and file unclaimed property reports with Washington State
  • Follow policies and procedures and make recommendations for improvements
  • Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice


  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) required
  • Personal computer and financial systems skills. Abila MIP and Concur experience a plus


  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three years’ experience in accounting preferred; A/P experience preferred
  • Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software


  • Ability to sit and type on a keyboard for long periods of time
  • Ability to view data on a computer screen for long periods of time
