Cultivate, solicit and steward mid-major level donors ($1,200-$2,499) and build program opportunities that will help us reach more people, build a strong organization and inspire a smarter world while demonstrating CPM’s values of integrity, community, innovation and diversity.

Salary Range: $55,700-$62,000 annually

Seattle, hybrid schedule available, must reside in WA State

  • Manage relationships with a portfolio of donors at the $1,200-$2,499 range (approximately 400 donors)
  • Create and execute a contact, marketing and communication plan for the portfolio that is focused on fulfilling the donors’ interests and passions
  • Cultivate relationships primarily through regular phone and letter contact
  • Solicit and close gifts from the mid-major level donors
  • Identify major donor and planned giving prospects and work with other team members to move donors through the donor lifecycle
  • Serve as a well-informed representative and advocate for Cascade Public Media
  • Attend Major Gift team meetings and Philanthropy department meetings
  • Coordinate donor outreach and stewardship efforts with the Individual Giving Coordinator
  • Coordinate prospect plans with Vice President of Philanthropy, Director of Major Gifts and Senior Estate Gift Planning Officer
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other Development professionals in the community
  • Track, record and report key performance indicators, including portfolio value, donor retention and funnel movement between membership and major gifts portfolios
  • Collaborate with other team members to foster a positive and productive culture and contribute toward the overall growth of the CPM

  • Adept at working with high net-worth individuals, families and have the ability to compel investment in Cascade Public Media’s mission
  • Thorough working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) required


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Ability to identify, solicit and cultivate major donors
  • Experience in a non-profit/philanthropic work environment
  • Demonstrated successful experience and effectiveness in prospect identification and relationship building
  • Strong donor research skills, fundraising database and membership management experience preferred


  • Must have a valid driver’s license or reliable means of transportation to meet requirements of the job
  • Ability to work some evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to view data on a computer screen for long periods of time
  • Ability to regularly type on a keyboard
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
