Individual Giving Coordinator

Overview

Working under the direction of the Membership Director, the Individual Giving Coordinator is responsible for managing a portfolio of donors at the $500-$1,199 level (mid-level). This includes strategy development, reporting, stewardship, moves management and coordination and collaboration with senior staff. This position also supports larger programmatic and fundraising efforts for the membership team.

Salary Range: $50,000-$52,000 annually

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  

I. Lead

  1. Manage relationships with a portfolio of donors  at the $500 – $1,199 range 
  2. Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward individuals while working collaboratively with other members of the Philanthropy team
  3. Cultivate relationships primarily through regular phone and letter contact, as well as acting as the primary contact for customer service and donation questions for the portfolio
  4. Identify major donor and planned giving prospects and work with other team members to move donors through the donor lifecycle
  5. Model membership prospects (donors giving < $500) to cultivate and upgrade donors to the mid-level program
  6. Manage and analyze data from mid-level donors to create programmatic strategies for donor retention, additional gifts and upgrades
  7. Serve as a well-informed representative and advocate for Cascade Public Media

II. Collaborate 

  1. Attend development team meetings and development department meetings
  2. Assist the Membership Director and other membership staff in planning and executing quarterly fundraising campaigns
  3. Work with Membership Director and Director of Major Giving on regular donor communications and promotional material
  4. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  2. Two to three years experience fundraising for non-profit organizations required, with an understanding of fundraising strategies, processes, and best practices
  3. Demonstrated successful experience and effectiveness in prospect identification, relationship building and annual solicitation
  4. Strong written communications skills, with experience in writing direct mail and email fundraising communications 
  5. Thorough working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required
  6. Experience with CRM data entry and reporting (Salesforce preferred)
  7. Ability to analyze revenue and donor data and suggest strategies
  8. Strong organizational and project management skills
  9. Ability to learn digital platforms, including Drupal CMS, OptiMonk, etc.
  10. Ability to organize and execute mailings of varying size or quantity

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid Washington State driver license
  2. Ability to work some evenings, weekends and holidays
  3. Ability to view data on a computer screen for long periods of time
  4. Ability to regularly type on a keyboard
  5. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  6. Ability to lift and carry parcels to designated mailing areas
  7. Ability to work remotely during the current office closure
  8. Ability to work a hybrid of remote work and on-site work when the office reopens
