Overview

Executes the video marketing, promotion and pledge creative for Cascade Public Media brands. Produces short and long form content marketing that grows that grows the Northwest’s premiere public media brand.

Salary Range: $59,000-$61,000 annually

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  

I. Manage 

  1. Execute creative video marketing productions for all Cascade Public Media brands including KCTS 9 and Crosscut.com
  2. Project manage from concept to completion; projects including line up and bag & tag production for broadcast, event promotion (Virtual and in-person), image campaigns, long-form video marketing and online content experiences
  3. Direct voiceover sessions and on-camera talent
  4. Research and find details and assets from multiple resources and platforms with meticulous attention to detail and follow-through
  5. Assist with hiring on-screen and production talent; work with independent contractors, outside vendors and rental houses

II. Create

  1. Execute throughout all stages of production including concept development, script writing, pre-production (scheduling, budgeting, storyboarding, location scouting), production, post-production, graphic design development and delivering for broadcast, web and social media
  2. Produce program promos, membership spots, long-form content, image and underwriting creative (virtually and in-person, as needed)
  3. Produce promotional spots for programs, web series and podcasts distributed nationally 
  4. Produce highlight reels, sizzles and other videos for special events
  5. Edit content for on-air, web and social media

III. Collaborate

  1. Work closely with all departments including Marcom, Sales, Development, Traffic, Design and Content
  2. Work closely within Promo team to develop new and engaging ideas for promotion spots and campaigns
  3. Deliver completed interstitial materials and related information to Master Control and social media

IV. Administer

  1. Ensure work orders and activities are properly charged to project budgets
  2. Maintain archive of interstitial elements for future re-use as appropriate
  3. Balance and manage multiple requests from various departments, ensuring that the best quality product is produced
  4. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. BA/BS in marketing, communications, advertising or equivalent experience
  2. Experience in TV broadcast production or at a video marketing agency required
  3. Experience as a promotion or advertising copywriter preferred
  4. Video editing experience required. Familiarity with AVID systems, and Adobe Creative Suite highly desired
  5. Must provide a demo reel for consideration
  6. Understanding of processing, editing and transferring video files across platforms
  7. On-location and virtual (Zoom) video production experience, studio production and videography skills preferred
  8. Ability to work with on-camera talent and non-professional performers.  Interview skills a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid Washington State drivers license
  2. Ability to view data on a computer screen for long periods of time
  3. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  4. Ability to regularly type on a keyboard
  5. Ability to work a varied schedule on occasion, including evening, weekends and some holidays
