Overview
Work with our Digital Product team to design world-class experiences for OTT, mobile and the web. Research and design usable interfaces, perform usability testing, create prototypes to validate design concepts and create high-fidelity designs for a growing family of digital products. Help to define the next-generation of public television and nonprofit journalism apps, which delight users and convert/retain members. Demonstrate CPM’s values of integrity, community and innovation.
Salary Range: $75,000-$80,000 annually

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build mockups, wireframes, process flows and prototypes that define interaction and/or interface for new and existing products and features
- Create high-fidelity designs and original graphics
- Collaborate with developers to handoff design mockups that ensure the fidelity of designs & product requirements
- Assist in the creation of a standardized library of branded UI components that function as the building blocks of all product designs across the organization
- Research customers, competitors and products
- Advocate for research-based, data-driven UX best practices throughout the product lifecycle
- Help build a culture of user-testing and data-driven continuous improvement
- Collaborate with other team members to foster a positive and productive culture and contribute toward the overall growth of the CPM

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Competency in visual and interactive design principles
- Experience creating wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity design using industry-leading tools (Figma, ideally, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
- Experience creating production-ready assets for app/web developers (shared via Figma, InVision, etc.)
- Experience with user testing and usability analysis
- A desire to do exceptional, groundbreaking work with a small, dedicated team
- Competency in project management and time management
- Media experience is a big plus
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- At least 3 years experience in UX design for mobile, OTT and/or responsive web apps
- A strong portfolio of completed products
- Demonstrable ability to work in a fast-paced, Agile environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to view data on a computer screen for long periods of time
- Ability to regularly type on a keyboard
- Ability to work in a hybrid remote/office environment
