Pacific Northwest Newspaper Guild Updates

Update December 1, 2021

After more than two years of negotiation, Cascade Public Media is pleased to have reached a first contract with our staff represented by the Pacific Northwest Newspaper Guild. We’re proud of and grateful for the contributions our journalists make every day, and we look forward to continuing to tell the stories that inform and inspire our community.

Update October 22, 2020

CPM and the Pacific Northwest Newspaper Guild sat (virtually, due to social distancing) for a negotiation session on October 22, 2020.

Proposals discussed were:

  • Management proposal on Hiring
  • New Guild proposal on Employee Integrity
  • New Guild proposal on Events and Marketing Materials

Status and Outcomes:

  • Tentative Agreement on Hiring

Next Steps:

  • Next bargaining session scheduled for November 12, 2020​
