CPM and the Pacific Northwest Newspaper Guild sat for a negotiation session on February 18, 2020.
Proposals discussed were:
- Union Orientation and Information
- Package of Employment Practices, and Definitions
- Package of Guild Membership, Management Rights, and withdrawal of Dues Deduction
- Package of Grievance Procedure, and No Strike / No Lockout
Status and Outcomes:
- Teams caucused multiple times to review and returned to the table to provide answers to questions.
- Three Tentative Agreements were initialed:
- Employment Practices, and Definitions
- Union Orientation and Information
Next Steps:
- The next session is scheduled for March 13, 2020
- Both the Guild and Management will discuss standing open proposals.
