CPM and the Pacific Northwest Newspaper Guild sat (virtually, due to social distancing) for a negotiation session on April 9, 2020.
Proposals discussed were:
- Package of Grievance Procedure, and No Strike / No Lockout
- Package of Guild Membership, Management Rights, and withdrawal of Dues Deduction
- Non-Discrimination
- New Guild Proposals
- Outside Activity
- Safety
Status and Outcomes:
Teams caucused multiple times to review and returned to the table to provide answers to questions.
Next Steps:
- The next session is scheduled for April 22, 2020
- Both the Guild and Management will discuss standing open proposals.
